“We will miss you Lee. Our hearts break in losing you.
Bob and I have been blessed to know Lee as a friend; the very special person who will always be in our hearts with that image of his ready smile, one that always made you feel warm and welcome. We knew him to be caring, loving, supportive, and generous.
We shared a common interest in Cowboy Action Competitive Shooting. As a participant he had an alias of Hardrock, a nod to his long standing career. We always had fun challenging each other, sharing laughter along the way. Of course he usually came out ahead! We will treasure the memories of our times together.
Our prayers and condolences go out to all of Lee’s family and many friends.”

“Lee hired me in 1978 to work in the National Cartographic Information Center/Western Mapping Center. He was a great supervisor and a very kind person. It was my luck and honor to work with Lee and to continue to socialize with him once we transferred to the Rocky Mountain Mapping Center.
He will be missed by me and no doubt many others.”

“We have been friends and family of the Aggers
for 40 years and have shared so many special times. Lee's gentleness, kindness, and caring for all of us will always be remembered.
Those we love never truly leave us.
Lee, we will all miss you!”

Unlike many others, I have only had the privilege of knowing Lee for the past three years.
I met Lee when I moved into the Village of Lakewood Co-op in April 2021. Although our friendship spanned such a short period of time, it took no time at all to realize what a likeable, kind person Lee was. His ready smile - and his laugh - could perk up anyone’s day.
One of the things I liked most though about Lee was his caring attitude. It was so clear from his conversations that he loved and adored his wife Nicki, with all her “sparkles”, and his daughter Kristen, the “apple of his eye”. To me, such caring and love is the mark of a truly good man.
His caring attitude also extended to our community here at the Co-op. He participated in various committees, offering good ideas and lending a helping hand when needed, and he livened up social events with his many funny stories from a life well-lived. Like so many others whose lives have been touched by Lee, I will miss him, as will our entire community here at the Co-op. My final thoughts are for Lee – Enjoy this next great adventure you’ve gone on to and know that we will always remember you.

“He was always behind the camera.
Never a complaint, he must’ve taken thousands
of photographs of Kristen riding Dolce.”

“Lee was always an upbeat, positive man and a joy to work with. I am sorry for your loss. I love the pictures posted - a smile on his face is how I always remember him.”

“I will miss the smiles and conversations about Disney and always remember the many we had. Rest in Peace.”
“Lee was my dear USGS colleague and we had lots of great work trips together. I saw him a year ago at the store and we caught up.... I loved his very calming and distinctive peaceful voice.”
“Lee was a special member.
We will all miss him.”

The tent is the place to be at a horse show if you’re not competing. It’s the oasis where you can find the ice chests, prizes, junk food, and a long-established culture of calm and levity.
Seeing Lee’s profile as you approached the tent always meant you’d be welcomed with a warm, good-humored smile. You could grab a dusty chair and soak right into his culture of calm and levity. If you were lucky enough, you might even snag a great chat, about any topic. Animals, current events, geology, cars… I was never sure what we’d talk about next, and I loved that.
I feel just so very lucky to have spent time with Lee. In particular, to have witnessed his love for his family, his genuine joy in their presence, and his approach to life.
